These general terms and conditions of sale (the “Terms”) govern purchases made on the website www.salumeriatoscana.shop (the “Site”). We ask you to read them carefully before placing an order: by submitting your order, you declare that you have read and accepted them.
1. Who we are
The seller is Manetti Alimentari Srl, owner of the Salumeria Toscana trademark (the “Seller”, “we”).

Salumeria Toscana selects and directly sells artisanal Tuscan food products. The sales contract is concluded between you and Manetti Alimentari Srl.
2. Who these Terms apply to
The Terms apply to all orders placed on the Site. A “consumer” is a natural person who purchases for purposes outside their entrepreneurial, commercial, craft or professional activity (Article 3 of the Italian Consumer Code [Codice del Consumo, Legislative Decree 206/2005]).
If you purchase for your professional activity (for example, by requesting an invoice made out to a VAT number), you are not a consumer: in this case, the protections reserved for consumers, including the right of withdrawal, do not apply. For professional purchases and for the restaurant and catering trade, our dedicated shop salumeriatoscanab2b.it is available, with its own terms and conditions.
The version of the Terms published on the Site at the time the order is submitted applies. Any subsequent changes apply only to future orders.
3. Products
The essential characteristics of each product (name, size or weight, price, producer and, where applicable, ingredients and allergens) are stated on the relevant product page and on the label. The photographs are intended to represent the product as faithfully as possible, but packaging, colour and appearance may differ slightly, as these are artisanal products.
If you have allergies or particular dietary requirements, we ask you to read the label upon receipt and to write to us before purchasing if you have any doubts.
Products are sold while stocks last. Alcoholic beverages are sold exclusively to persons of legal age: by ordering wines or other alcoholic beverages, you declare that you are at least 18 years old.
4. Prices
Prices are expressed in euros and include VAT. Shipping costs are not included in the price of the products: they are calculated and shown in the order summary before payment and are described on the Shipping page.
For shipments to countries outside the European Union, import duties or taxes may be payable; these are borne by the recipient.
In the event of an obvious error in the published price, we will contact you before shipping: you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it with a full refund.
5. Order and conclusion of the contract
To make a purchase, add the products to your cart, enter the required delivery and billing details, choose the payment method and confirm the order. Before confirming, you can check and correct the details you have entered.
The contract is concluded when you receive our order confirmation email, which contains a summary of the products, prices and shipping costs and the link to these Terms. We recommend that you keep it.
If, after confirmation, a product turns out to be unavailable, we will notify you by email: you may choose either partial shipment or cancellation of the order. Any amounts already paid for the unavailable products will be refunded to you within 14 days.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data entered in the order, including the data required for issuing tax documents.
6. Payments
The available payment methods are shown at checkout and on the Payments page. Online payments are handled by certified payment service providers: we do not store your full card details.
If the payment is not successful, the order is not confirmed.
7. Shipping and delivery
Costs, delivery times and destination countries are indicated on the Shipping page. We ship on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so that products do not remain in transit over the weekend. Fresh products and cured meats travel vacuum-packed in insulated packaging.
The delivery times indicated are the courier’s average times and do not include Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. In any case, we deliver within 30 days of the conclusion of the contract, unless otherwise agreed.
On delivery, check that the parcel is intact. If it is damaged or has been opened, accept it “with reservation”, stating the damage to the courier, or refuse it, and write to us immediately as indicated in Article 9.
The risk of loss of or damage to the products passes to you when you, or a person designated by you, receive them. If delivery fails because the recipient is absent or because the address is incorrect or incomplete, the courier leaves a notice that the parcel is being held: as these are perishable products, we ask you to collect them as soon as possible, because we cannot guarantee their quality if they remain held beyond the period indicated by the courier.
8. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day on which you received the products, without having to give any reason and without penalty (Articles 52 et seq. of the Consumer Code).
Products excluded from the right of withdrawal
Pursuant to Article 59, paragraph 1, letters (d) and (e) of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal is excluded for:
- products that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, such as fresh meat and other fresh products;
- sealed products which have been opened after delivery and which are not suitable for return for reasons of hygiene or health protection.
Products that are intact, in their original sealed packaging, and that can be put back on sale without any health risk may therefore be returned.
How to exercise the right of withdrawal
Before the 14-day period expires, send an explicit statement to info@salumeriatoscana.shop, for example with the subject “Exercise of the right of withdrawal”. You may use the withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory. To allow us to handle your request more quickly, please state the order number, the products you wish to return and your contact details.
Withdrawal applies to the product in its entirety: if a product consists of several parts, such as a gift basket, it is not possible to return only part of it.
Return and refund
Following your notification, we will send you the address and the instructions for the return. The products must be sent back within 14 days of the notification of withdrawal. The direct costs of returning the products are borne by you.
We will refund all payments received for the returned products, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of the day on which we received your notification of withdrawal. If you chose a delivery method more expensive than the standard one, the difference is not refundable. If the withdrawal concerns only part of the order, delivery costs are refunded proportionally. The refund is made using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed, at no cost to you. We may withhold the refund until we have received the products or until proof of their shipment has been provided.
You are liable only for any diminished value of the products resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature and characteristics.

9. Damaged or non-conforming products and legal guarantee
If a product arrives damaged, not intact or different from the one ordered, write to us as soon as possible, preferably within 8 days of delivery, at info@salumeriatoscana.shop, attaching photos of the product and of the packaging. We will agree with you on a replacement or a refund, at no cost to you.
In any case, the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by Articles 128 et seq. of the Consumer Code applies to consumers. For food products, conformity must be assessed taking into account their perishable nature, the use-by date or best-before date and the storage instructions given on the label.
10. Reviews
After your purchase, you can leave a review of the products. Reviews are collected and published via the Judge.me app. We do not publish paid reviews and we do not modify the content of customer reviews.
We ask you to write truthful and relevant reviews. We may decline to publish, or may remove, content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory or promotional, or that infringes the rights of third parties. By publishing a review, you authorise us to display it on the Site and on our channels, under the name you have provided.
11. Customer account
You can also purchase without creating an account. If you create an account, you are required to keep your login credentials safe and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use by writing to info@salumeriatoscana.shop. You may request the deletion of your account at any time at the same address.
We may suspend or close an account in the event of fraudulent use, false data or breach of these Terms, informing you of the reasons where possible.
12. Use of the Site and intellectual property
The texts, photographs, graphics, logos and trademarks on the Site belong to Manetti Alimentari Srl or to their respective owners and are protected by law. Copying, reproducing or using them, in whole or in part, without our written consent is not permitted, nor is the systematic extraction of the Site’s content (for example, prices and product lists) using robots or automated tools.
Using the Site in a way that damages it, overloads it or compromises its security is not permitted.
13. Liability
We are not liable for delays or failures to deliver due to force majeure or to other causes beyond our control. In such cases, we will inform you promptly and, if the order cannot be fulfilled, we will refund the amount you paid.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, over whose content we have no control.
No clause of these Terms limits the rights granted to consumers by law.
14. Personal data
We process your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Communications
Communications relating to orders take place by email. Communications sent by email satisfy the requirement of written form, as provided for by law.
16. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer resident in another country of the European Union, this is without prejudice to any more favourable protective provisions under the law of your country of residence.
For disputes with consumers, the court of the place where the consumer resides or is domiciled has jurisdiction. For disputes with persons who are not consumers, the court of Florence has exclusive jurisdiction.
Before going to court, you can write to us at info@salumeriatoscana.shop: we always seek an amicable solution. If you are a consumer, you may also refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body as provided for by Articles 141 et seq. of the Consumer Code.
