Chardonnay Castello di Monsanto Collection
Fabrizio Bianchi Chardonnay IGT Toscana
Chardonnay is the result of the intuition of Fabrizio Bianchi who, in the mid-seventies, decided to plant this vineyard on his own land outside the Chianti Classico appellation.
With an eye to the great whites of Burgundy, at the beginning of its production history it was entirely fermented in wood.
In the 2000s Chardonnay saw a gradual streamlining of the oak until it settled on today's bill which provides for the fermentation in steel of about 70% of the grapes. Grande is the historian present in the cellar to testify to the excellent ability of this wine to defy time.
Today this Tuscan wine is a classic interpretation of Tuscan Chardonnay with a great aging capacity.
A rich, soft and floral white, vinified in steel and French barrels, characterized by notes of peach, chamomile, sage and broom
